Before joining Transcontinental Media, Ms. Larivière held the positions of President and CEO for the Book Publishing group at Quebecor Media, and was President and CEO for Archambault Group Inc. From 1987-2000, Ms. Larivière worked at the National Bank, where she was responsibile for all the bank's electronic commerce projects.

Since obtaining an MBA from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Ms. Larivière has been honoured with the Reconnaissance UQAM 2006 award, the Nouveaux Performants 2006 award in the "managers" category, the 1999 Arista-Sun Life award in the young Quebec managers category, and the Performance 1998 award from the Réseau ESG UQAM, for her excellence and dynamic energy.
